Originally from northern Ontario, Victoria, British Columbia, has been my home for more than 20 years. My art is inspired by special places – places where I have camped, fished, hiked or just visited – like the Abkhazi Gardens.
I started painting when I was quite young as my mother is an artist too and was a strong influence. I have taken numerous art classes and workshops over the years and have tried various mediums, but I love the colours and layering ability of acrylic paint so mostly work in that.
I have spent a lot of time sharing my creative passion with children and adults through craft days and art nights. You can find more of my work at a wonderful store in downtown Victoria called Stock Home Design.
Oh, and I wrote a book recently called, A Fire Rages. From the age of 9, I have been fascinated by survivor stories surrounding the Great Fire that occurred in northern Ontario in 1922.
